All Politics is Local?

Welcome** Home Again.

[7-10-11 The Irthlingz opened the NWRoots 2011 Conference with a great song about "everything" that's related*** to the ecology, starting with the economy. I was also privileged to be one of three to hear a song they could not fit in at the closing. I hope to bring more details and comments to this post, but will just note that I attended three Breakout Sessions; Labor, Electronic Voting, and the Media Panel*.

Hint: N=3 gents refers to Murdoch, Buffet and Maher; not with the intent to spin out from local, but there is an intersection with the Media panel and consolidation, not to mention a derivative-lined analogy.]

[On the other hand, in context:
Redistribution has a "from" side (taxation) and a "to" side (spending). On the "from" side, the notion that government should use taxation to increase rather than decrease equality is hardly Marxist. In "The Wealth of Nations," Adam Smith begins his section on taxation with the following maxim: "The subjects of every state ought to contribute towards the support of the government, as nearly as possible, in proportion to their respective abilities." To ask otherwise, Smith writes, would be obviously unfair.]

[7-21-11 Fair and Balanced, and Leaning Back: "Cry me a river" Michael Steele leans back at Joan Walsh's Obama/Reagan comparison(Fair link - 3:20) on MSNBC's Hardball, but the reality is that Obama as a Senator and as a President fits the bill of the history. As a Senator his vote against the debt ceiling raise, was an attempt to address the deficit, just as what forced the compromise Reagan made to get his. Meanwhile the people are with President Obama as well as Cenk Uygur.]

N-oddly Enough...

[7-17-11 updating in progress]

I intend to expound upon the derivative-lined analogy(see Hint there).
To begin with, I had expounded upon the Murdoch troubles and 'N NPR report on my way into the NWRoots Conference. The NPR report had noted that Murdoch had influence, but it was not necessarily what made the difference in** elections in the light of his selecting a winner, not making a winner, and that it was more about money(power) than ideology(which needs more light or shading). Warren Buffet reflects some of this area that I 4shadow or shame. And Maher's remarks almost bring to color the ironic balance of logic.

Hint: 'N = not (also "an"*)

Math: 'N X N = 4 = GPS [!]= ...
Or is it Not^3=Oh[!]

* & is '4 a sine or cosine?
